Fishing on a Monday night isn’t normally something on my to-do list, but it turned out to be kind of fun. We caught a tiny snapper (baby-sized), a starfish and an oyster – at least that’s a good spread. I also managed to get snagged a total of 3 times. I did hook a fish, but while I was reeling it in, it got my line stuck under the wharf, and so now it gets to spend the rest of its life stuck to a line. I don’t feel bad, because I probably would have thrown it back (although it did feel pretty big on my pathetic sprat rod).
Next time I think we’ll go somewhere a little natural (as opposed to Devonport), although it was nice looking out at the city. I also got in a trip to the beach today, but it means an extra early start tomorrow to nail some of the work banked up during today. I hate feeling guilty for relaxing, but I wish I could actually just relax.
